Piazon struck 20 minutes from time to secure a 3-2 aggregate victory for Adi Viveash’s men, who will face Blackburn Rovers in The Final. Jack Barmby gave United the lead and levelled it on aggregate just before the break to keep up his record of having scored in every round of The Cup, but Piazon’s leveller was enough to tie the game and send Chelsea through after a thoroughly entertaining 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge.
